Our Need for Grace and Truth

When it comes to looking at our life we go through stages from denial to heartfelt admittance of sin. The result of which can make or break you.

Perhaps you are of the clan that says, yeah, I know I've sinned in my life. But I haven't done the BIG sins...I'm not THAT bad!" Friends, we are humbly praying for you!

Before Almighty Holy God, Creator of the Universe and everything in it, we are so full of selfishness, so full of self worship, so full of sin. its not even funny. We just don't realize the depth of our sin yet. But sooner or later we will. It is a matter of life and death that when you do see your sin that you are looking at it with your Jesus glasses on!

God's word says, "Godly sorrow brings repentance that leads to salvation and leaves no regret, but worldly sorrow brings death."

2Corinthians 7:10

There are two ways one may be aware of their own sinfulness. One with God; one without Him. Without God we are left in darkness, open to believe the lies of Satan; lies that say, "I'm worthless" or "No one loves me." Someone close to me recalls having this type of experience. It brought her to the brink of suicide. If this is happening to you, don't give in to the temptation to end your life! Hope is only a prayer or verse away. Open your Bible and know the depth of God's love ."

"...that He may grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power in the inner man, through the Spirit, and Christ may dwell in your hearts, through faith. I pray that you, being rooted and firmly established in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the length and width, height and depth of God's love, and to know Christ's love that surpasses knowledge so you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3: 16-19

Jesus is nearer than you know! Call out to Him! Cry out to Him. He will listen! Jesus will not condemn you!

"For God so loved the world that He sent His One and Only Son, that whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish , but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save it through Him.

John 3:16-17

Additionally, God's word says:

"Whoever believes (trusts) in Him is not condemned but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God's One and Only Son." John 3:19

When God reveals our sin to us, He is compassionate. He shows us His grace.

Truth without grace is condemnation and grace without truth is a lie. Jesus always comes with "grace and truth". (John 1:17) We NEED the grace of God to be the lens through which we see the truth about ourselves and our sin before a Holy and Righteous God.

Grace is help given to us by God that has not been earned by anything we have done. Grace is the cross of Jesus Christ! It's our Holy and Righteous Father in heaven that sent His only Son to the earth to die in our place, that we may live, with Him on earth and in heaven. Jesus paid it all 2000 years ago when He suffered the wrath of God as payment for the sin of those in the world.

"He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought peace was on Him and by His wounds we are healed."

Isaiah 53:5

Is God revealing sin to you? If so, that is a good sign that you are receiving the GIFT of repentance. How will you respond? God has a purpose in life for you. If only you would trust in Him. Won't you know and trust Jesus today? You'll never regret it!
